Die schönste Verbindung zwischen Bad Herrenalb und Karlsruhe ist keinesfalls der offizielle Radweg. Die bessere Alternative verläuft entlang des Bächleins Alb auf dem Graf-Rhena-Weg bis Ettlingen und von da aus weiter bis zum Karlsruher Schloß, genialerweise auch im Innenstadtbereich durch Grünanlagen und Parks, so daß noch nicht einmal eine einzige Ampelanlage oder breite Strasse gequert werden muß. Eine Genußtour für Freizeitradler, denn es geht fast ständig bergab. Mountainbiker nutzen die Route gerne zum Einrollen oder Ausrollen nach der Tour.
