Heimbacher Burgen
Der Weg verbindet die Stadt Heimbach mit den Orten Hausen und Blens. Die Burg Hengebach in Heimbach war bereits im 11. Jahrhundert eine hölzerne Befestigungsanlage, die in der Folgezeit die Aufgabe hatte, Wald und Forst zu pflegen und Übergriffe zu verhindern. Sie war als Höhenburg bis zur Erfindung des Schießpulvers nahezu uneinnehmbar. Ihre Bedeutung endete mit dem großen Brand in Heimbach 1687.
Heute ist sie Sitz eines Restaurant- und Beherbergungsbetriebs.
Einkehrmöglichkeiten gibt es in Blens, Hausen, Heimbach und in Schmidt.
Für Kinderwagen nicht geeignet.
