Über viele Feldwege und wenig befahrene Asphaltstrassen geht es zuerst auf den Steiglberg zum Windpark Altschwendt. Dann weiter in Richtung St. Willibald wo ein historischer Wanderweg beginnt, welcher einmal eine Römerstrasse war. Später, als das Innviertel noch Teil unseres Nachbarlandes war, verlief hier entlang die Grenze zu Bayern.
Der Endpunkt dieser Tour ist gleichzeitig der Anschluss zu Tour 24732 "Über den Römerweg zum Jungfraustein" (siehe Link). Diese Tour biete eine sehr schöne Erweiterungsmöglichkeit.

Kimpling ist sehr gut per Bahn zu erreichen: Bahnlinie Wels - Passau; eine Station nach dem Bahnknotenpunkt Neumarkt -Kallham.
Mit dem Auto fährt man von Wels kommend bei Neumarkt im Hausruckkreis von der B137 ab und dann immer gerade aus in Richtung Dorf an der Pram. Nach 5km erreich man Kimpling.
