Start ist am Parkplatz vom Hotel "Waldmühle". Oder direkt auf dem Wandererpakplatz am Kreisverkehr. Los gehts dann im Wald auf der linken Seite der Straße nach Oberhof. Weiter dann auf dem Rennsteig an der Schmücke vorbei. Auf dem Rennsteig gibt es ein paar schöne Wurzelwege. In Vesser ist zum Mittag Forelle sehr zu empfehlen. Die Tour führt ausschließlich über Wald-und Schotterwege, außer die letzte Abfahrt zur Waldmühle zurück. Da fliegt man einen Teerweg am Oberhofer Bahnhof vorbei nach unten. Die 134 hm am Tourende im Höhenprofil stimmen natürlich nicht, keine Ahnung wo die her kommen.
