Die Tour beginnt auf dem Wanderparkplatz vor dem Leistungszentrum Herzogenhorn und führt recht einsam nach Todtmoos. Konditionell sollte man schon einigermassen fit sein, auf die kurze Strecke wird man einige Höhenmeter erkämpfen, welche aber mit einer tollen Landschaft belohnt werden.
Einkehrmöglichkeiten sind auf dem Hinweg kaum vorhanden, daher empfiehlt es sich in Todtmoos eine grössere Pause einzulegen.
