Die Wanderung beginnt an der Jeisshütte in Riedböhringen. Vom 913 m hohen Eichberg hat man schöne Ausblicke ins Tal nach Achdorf und die umliegenden Dörfer. Hier oben verläuft auch der Ostweg des Schwarzwaldvereines. Wenn man an der Hütte des Eichbergs direkt auf dem Wanderweg entlangläuft, hat man nach ca. 1 - 2 km mehrere Möglichkeiten, um zur Jeisshütte zurück zu wandern.
