Mit dem Auto nach Brand. Parkplatz = GPS-Daten-Anfang. Schon zu Beginn werden schnell Höhenmeter gemacht. Dies aber durch eine besonders reizvolle Alm- und Hochgebirgsgegend. Der Leibersteig ist als blau-weisse Route gekennzeichnet. Dies verlangt Trittsicherheit und Schwindelfreiheit. Der Brandner Gletscher kann gut ohne Grödel überquert werden.
Es hat sich auch bewährt, dass wir die Tour nicht von der anderen Seite angegangen sind, da wir bis ca. 10.00 Uhr im Schatten aufsteigen konnten. Um 6.00 Uhr gingen wir los.
