Lange Rundtour auf der Hohen Veitsch:
Vom Alpengasthof Scheikl entweder gleich über den Wald in östl. Richtung über die Schipisten zur Forststraße, oder der Schipiste hinunter folgend bis zur Talstation des Schleppliftes und dort der Forststraße bergauf folgend bis zur Eibelwiese. Dort über die Wiese hinauf zur Weitzerhütte und dann eben rechtshaltend bis zum Wegbeginn bei den Latschen. Dann die relativ steile Goaßsteig hinauf bis zum Sattel und weiter in westl. Richtung der Wintermarkierung (hohe Stangen) über die Seebodenhütte bis zum Gipfel der Hohen Veitsch.
Dann weiter zum Graf Meran Schutzhaus. Von dort führt der Weg eben in westl Richtung zum Teufelsteig, an deren Ende die Rotsohlhütte steht (im Sommer bewirtschaftet). Danach geht es in östl Richtung eben bis zur Schalleralm und über die Forststraße zurück zum Ausgangspunkt dem GH Scheikl.
