Von Schleswig aus verläuft die Tour auf dem Ochsenweg über Neuberend durch das Waldgebiet Schwanholm nach Idstedt. Am Idstedter See besteht eine Bademöglichkeit. Die weitere Strecke führt durch Wald und Wiesengebiete am Langsee entlang, wo wiederum Bademöglichkeiten bestehen über Nübel (mit einer sehenswerten, sehr alten Kirche) zurück nach Schleswig.

Vom ZOB in westlliche Richtung auf der Königstraße, rechts in die Bismarkstraße abbiegen und dem Straßenverlauf bis zum Stadtfeld folgen.Das Stadtfeld ist eine gute Startmöglichkeit.
