Zunächst geht es auf gut ausgebauten Wegen durch den Wald, danach wird es steil.
Steinige Pfade führen uns zum Holzalmhof. Der Weg ist beschwerlich und sollte ohne Stöcke nicht gegangen werden
Jetzt wird es noch steiler und nach etwa 45 Min. erreichen wir den Rosskopfgipfel der gekrönt wird durch ein imposantes Gipfelkreuz.
Wir wählen den Weg zum Horlerstiegl, im Rückblick ein Fehler weil das letzte Stück nur auf Asphalt zu gehen ist.
