Von Dresden-Klotzsche ging es in nördlicher Richtung über Hermsdorf, Ottendorf-Okrilla durch die Königsbrücker Heide (incl. Fahrt über den Buchberg) bis zum Aussichtsturm auf dem Haselberg nördlich von Königsbrück. Dieser 30m hohe Turm bietet einen sehr schönen Rundumblick über die dortige Heidelandschaft.
Bei gutem Wetter ist die Sicht weit nach Brandenburg, bis zum Kraftwerk Boxberg oder in die sächsische Schweiz möglich.
Da die Strecke in großen Teilen über Waldwege führt, ist ein robustes Rad empfehlenswert.

Dresden-Klotzsche ist vom Hauptbahnhof Dresden aus leicht mit der Bahn erreichbar. Es besteht außerdem eine direkte Zugverbindung von Dresden nach Königsbrück.
