Eine leichte Wanderung ohne große Anstrengung, anfangs mit herrlichen Ausblicken über das nördliche Harzvorland und später auf das Brockenmassiv.
Der Abstieg vom kleinen Burgberg nach Bad Harzburg herunter ist sehr steil und erfordert Trittsicherheit. Man kann aber auch wieder zum Burgberg hinaufgehen, und mit der Seilbahn ins Tal zurück fahren.

Parkplatz an der Talstation der Seilbahn (gebührenpflichtig) oder Großparkplatz 200 m B4 hinauf (gebührenfrei), dann mit der Seilbahn zum Burgberg hinauffahren (man kann aber auch von hier aus laufen)
