Die leichte Bergtour auf den 1.198m hohen Tressenstein beginnt in der Nähe des 2.351m hohen Grimming im kleinen Ort Untergrimming / Gemeinde Pürgg-Trautenfels. Die Wanderung beginnt auf einer Höhe von 654m. Die Wanderung führt meistens durch den Wald, wobei es zwischendurch immer wieder sehr gute Aussichtspunkte gibt. Am Gipfel des Tressenstein wurden sogar ein paar Bankerl aufgestellt und es besteht eine herrliche Aussicht ins Ennstal.

Anfahrt und Lage
Von der A 9 kommend:
- Beim Knoten Selzthal Richtung Salzburg abbiegen
- ab Liezen auf der Ennstalbundesstraße B 320 bis zur Kreuzung in Trautenfels
- Nach links abbiegen
- Nach 200 Metern rechts den Schlosshügel hinauf zum Parkplatz
Von der A 10 kommend:
- Beim Knoten Ennstal Richtung Graz abbiegen
- Auf der Ennstalbundesstraße B 320 bis zur Kreuzung in Trautenfels
- Nach rechts abbiegen und nach 200 Metern rechts den Schlosshügel hinauf zum Parkplatz.
