    Vom SBB-Bahnhof Schwyz geht es zunächst auf Teer- dann auf Waldwegen immer sehr steil hinauf bis Haggenegg. Von hier aus ist es bis Holzegg folgt ein sehr flaches Stück Weg. Über einen gut präparierten Felsenweg geht es in ca. 1Std. zum sehr beliebten Ausflugsziel Grosser Mythen.

    Der Weg über Haggenegg zieht sich ja doch recht lange und ist ab Brändli auf landschaftlich nicht mehr besonders schön. Ab Haggenegg allerdings dann doch wieder. Man könnte über Zwüschet Mythen abkürzen. Soll auch spannender sein. Der Aufstieg zum Mythen selbst ist sehr start begangen. Dadurch entsteht auch eine nicht unbeträchtliche Steinschlaggefahr (ich habe Steine fallen sehen!). Auf die Gefahr hin, dass man belächelt wird, sollte man lieber einen Helm aufziehen. Einigermaßen schwindelfrei solle man auch sein. Allerdings ist gerade für nahezu den gesamten Aufstieg ein Kettengeländer in Arbeit.
    Ausgangspunkt war die SBB-Station Schwyz. Ab dem Hauptort Schwyz fahren Busse zurück zur SBB-Station.
