Von Pfronten aus,vorbei am Dorfweiher ,den Hinweisschildern MTB-Marathon folgen . Es geht auf einer landschaftlich sehr schönen Strecke gut beschildert zum Parkplatz Waldseilgarten -Kappeler Alp.
Hier beginnt der Aufstieg auf die Kappeler Alp.
Die sehr steile Strecke mit bis zu 25% Steigungsrate wird erschwert durch losen u. tiefen Schotter ,das frist Körner.
Oben angekommen ,geht`s dann weiter hinauf zum Sportheim Böck auf einer teils felsigen Strecke ,wo man das Bike stellenweise nur noch hochtragen o. hochschieben kann, geht`s dann weiter gut zu fahren bis hin zur Fichtelhütte.
Dann beginnt ein sehr steiler Abstieg in Richtung Grundhütte.
Über den Edelsberg geht es auf einer breiten schönen Abfahrt (es sollte auf Wanderer und Land-Forstwirte Rücksicht genommen werden) ins Vilstal , zurück nach Pfronten-Ösch.
