Startpunkt ist die Talstation der Hartkaiser-Bahn in Ellmau. Von dort auf dem mit "Hartkaiser" ausgeschilderten Forstweg und dem Wanderweg (tw. Tragestrecke) bis hinauf zur Rübezahlalm, dann weiter zur Jägerhütte und von dort auf den Gipfel des Hartkaiser (1555m). Nach einer Brotzeit und einer Radler-Halben geht es weiter zum Brandstadl (1649m), wo es ebenfalls mehrere Möglichkeiten zur Einkehr gibt. Abschließend in einem rasanten Downhill ins Tal, vorbei an der Gruberalm bis nach Söll, das erste kurze Stück vom Brandstadl auf Schotter, später auf schmalen Teerstrassen. Ab Söll im Tal auf kleinen Nebenstraßen zurück nach Scheffau. Von der Talstation der Bergbahnen in Scheffau (großer Parkplatz) auf dem Radweg nach Ellmau bis zur Talstation der Hartkaiser-Bahn.

Von der Inntalautobahn, Ausfahrt Kufstein Süd (mautfrei) über Eiberg-Bundesstraße (B173) und Loferer Bundesstraße (B178) bis Ellmau. Parken auf dem Parkplatz der Hartkaiserbahn.
