Vom Ort auf der unteren Hauptstraße entlang der Küstenlinie bis zu einer Pizzeria (ca. 20 Min.). Von dort den Steig hinauf auf die Nordseite der Insel. Auf dem Weg sind immer wieder Aussichtsstellen eingerichtet, von denen das Treiben des Vulkan beobachtet werden kann. Bis zum Endpunkt, auf ca. 400 m, besteht keine Bergführerpflicht.
Als Alternative zur Besteigung des Stromboli.

Stromboli wird von mehreren Schiffslinien angefahren. Schwierig ist das Anlegen der Schiffe bei Sturm. Deshalb häufig keine Anfahrt und auch keine Abfahrt von der Insel möglich.
