Eine gute Kondition ist hier hilfreich 
Die Dreiborner Hochfläche ist eine große Wald- und Offenlandfläche und Teil des Nationalpark Eifel. Große Teile des Gebietes durfte zwischen September 1946 und 2006 von Zivilisten nicht betreten werden und ist erst seither auf festen Routen teilweise für Wanderer wieder zugänglich.
Von Einruhr geht es kontinuierlich hoch. Hier ist eine gute Kondition hilfreich. Auf der Höhe werden Sie dann aber mit tollen Fernsichten belohnt. Jetzt geht es fast eben über die Offenfläche und dann abwärts zur Urfttalsperre. Jetzt ganz entspannt Richtung Rurberg und am Obersee entlang zurück nach Einruhr. Sie können die Tour auch abkürzen, in dem Sie ab Urfttalsperre oder Rurberg mit dem Schiff zurück nach Einruhr fahren. Landschaftlich eine schöne Tour.
