Great morning or late afternoon bike tour through the north-western part of the park. Great views across the plain and to the breadknife. If you go early morning or late afternoon you are guaranteed to come across lots of wildlife.
The tour starts fairly gently from the main camp ground gently heading up on a gravel trail. It then becomes fairly steep and climbs up the ridge. You will need to be fit if you want to ride the full stretch up. Once on the ridge you can admire the views whilst enjoying the gentle downhill.
The firetrail is quite rugged in places, I am glad I opted to take the fully up to the Warrumbungles instead of the hardtail.
Enjoy the ride and make sure you don't flatten any roos on the way down.

From the main (old) camping area travel north across the little causeway then through the new camping area until you reach the trailhead. After about 1.3 km you get to a junction keep to left and continue up the hill. On the ridge there is another junction where you need to keep left but essentially you will see the valley and prominent park features at all times so you should not get lost.
The trail ends on the main road and you will return to the campsite via the visitors center.
