Vom Parkplatz bei der Burg Rothenfels oberhalb des Maintals in westlicher Richtung aus dem Dorf hinaus zum Rensenbrunnen. Von hier aus scharf rechts in nordwestl. Richtung über die Höhen des Spessarts bis zum Waldeintritt. Ab hier nun oberhalb des Hafenlohr-Tals, vorbei am Erlenbrunnen, hinunter zum Lindenfurter Hof. Hier die Talstraße queren und steil hoch zur Karlshöhe (Einkehr möglich). Nun auf dem Höhenweg schnurgerade mehrere Kilometer nach OSO. In Serpentinen (auch Steilabstieg möglich) hinunter ins Hafenlohr-Tal. Auf der Straße die Bachseite wechseln, danach wieder links ab und hinauf zum Rensenbrunnen. Ab hier auf bekanntem Weg zum Parkplatz.
