Das mittlere Kinzigtal um Hausach und Wolfach ist ideal zum Mountainbiken - hier wurden sogar Teile des Westwegs zum Biken legalisiert (obwohl Trails), und ein extra angelegter MTB-Trail leitet Biker hinab nach Oberwolfach. Der zuvor anstehende Anstieg "hinauf" zum Westweg erfolgt durch ein gemütliches Seitental der Kinzig und ist nicht zu steil. Anschließend geht es auf der Südseite der Kinzig noch einmal in ein anderes Tal und an der Flanke hinauf - der Jakobsweg vom Horbenhof nach Wolfach herunter ist erste Klasse und diese Mühe allemal wert.

Start in Hausach (Parkmöglichkeit am Bahnhof), dort gute Bahnverbindungen aus allen Richtungen. Die Tour ist eine "Streckentour", d.h. es muss vom Endpunkt Wolfach entweder per Bahn oder per Kinzigtal-Radweg (10-15 Min.) zum Ausgangspunkt zurückgefahren werden.
