Auto bleibt in Petronell,in der Nähe des Schlosses.Am Schloss vorbei zum Archäologischen Park Carnuntum.Lohnend ist der Besuch ,mit Rekonstruktionen römischer Häuser.Auf gut beschilderten Fußweg zum Amphitheater.Schön begehbar auf den Erdwällen mit guter Übersicht auf die Arena.Zurück auf den bereits benützten Fußweg und weiter Richtung Heidentor.Zirka um 300 als Triumphbogen für Kaiser Konstantin am Rande der Römerstadt errichtet.Leider steht nur mehr ein Teil des gesammten Bauwerks.Nach gründlicher Besichtigung auf geraden Straßenstück nach Petronell.Mittagessen im Gasthof zum Heidentor empfohlen.Eventuell noch das Römermuseum besuchen!!!
