Die Wanderung beginnt am Bahnhof in Erdmannsdorf und endet am Busbahnhof von Mittweida. Sie führt überwiegend am linken Ufer der Zschopau entlang. Hin und wieder werden Höhenmeter für schön Ausblicke in Kauf genommen.
Die Anregung zur Tour entstammt dem Wander- und Reiseführer von Mittweida und Umgebung, Hg. E. Grimm, Kurt Möller und Arthur Gärtner, Mittweida im Sept. 1977.
