Die Tour führt durch das wunderschöne bergige Lipperland und über einen kurzen Abschnitt durch den Kreis Höxter. Die Strecke besteht größtenteils aus Nebenwegen oder kaum befahrenen Kreisstraßen. Ein paar knackige Steigungen sind dabei.

Startpunkt ist die Straße "In der Fried" in Detmold-Spork-Eichholz. Sie liegt am Ortstausgang in direkter Nähe der B 239, die von Detmold nach Horn-Bad Meinberg führt.
