Durch den Hochwald über der Wehebachtalsperre
Start ist der Wanderparkplatz in Großhau "Glockenofen". Wir folgen dem Wanderweg Nr. 44 abwärts. Nach rund 20 Minuten Gehweg biegen wir rechts ab in Richtung "Eichberg" Danach links bergabwärts Richtung Leyberg. Hier erreichen wir auch einen Rastplatz. Danach geht es hinunter in Tönbachtal bis zur Schutzzone der Wehebachtalsperre. Jetzt ist fast die Hälfte der Strecke bewältigt. Zurück geht es nun wieder dem Wanderzeichen (schwarzes Dreieck, 5 a Wilhelm-Knopp-Weg) folgend durchs Thönbachtal. Eine ruhige Wanderung durch den ausgedehnten Hürtgenwald auf überwiegend festen Wegen für die ganze Familie.
