Die Umrundung des Rösterkopfes startet am Drei Mörder Parkplatz und führt bis auf kleine Ausnahmen fast immer auf gut befahrbaren Waldwegen und Pfaden, die technisch keine hohen Anforderungen erfordern.

Von Trier nach Holzerrath und von dort weiter Richtung Kell. Am Waldrand geht es ach ca. 3km rechts ab zum Drei Mörder Parkplatz.
