Vom Bahnhof Neuhaus Rwg. auf dem Rennsteig bis nach Steinheid und von dort über den Fellberg bis auf die Hämmerer Ebene. Von dort über die Wiefelsburg und die Hohe Strasse nach Neufang und anschliessend über Blockhütte, Waldhaus und Lutherhaus zum Bahnhof Sonneberg.

Es ist empfehlenswert am Bahnhof Sonneberg zu parken um von dort mit der Südthüringenbahn nach Neuhaus am Rennweg zu fahren. Man kann die Tour auf von Sonneberg nach Neuhaus laufen.
