Kurze aber abwechslungsreiche Skitour, die auch nach Neuschneefällen sicher durchführbar ist.
Schöner Gipfelhang, leider oft verblasen, dann Abfahrt durch Hochwald und im unteren Teil durch einen Graben. Lohnend ist der kurze Abstecher auf den Kleinen Königskogel, dessen Gipfelhang meist bessere Schneeverhältnisse aufweist.

Von Mürzzuschlag durch das obere Mürztal nach Neuberg an der Mürz und Mürzsteg. Abzweigung Richtung Frein a.d. Mürz und bis zur Einmündung des Schwarzenbachgrabens (Forststrasse) linker Hand (ca. 1 km nachdem die Strasse 2 x die Mürz überquert).
