Beim Breitenauer Holz handelt es sich um einen kurzen Rundwanderweg südlich von Breitenau, nahe Bad Rodach, der insgesamt weniger sehenswert ist, aber eine schöne Runde durch einen schattigen Wald darstellt, die auch ohne größere Planung und Zeitaufwand, bestreitbar ist. Der Weg scheint schon vor längerer Zeit als Wanderweg mit einem blauen "F" auf weißem Grund gekennzeichnet worden zu sein, da die Beschilderung eher schlecht als recht und oft schon sehr verblasst ist. Über längere Strecken kommt gar kein Schild, auch an Kreuzungen, so dass eine Wanderkarte oder ein GPS Navigationsgerät mit topographischer Karte, durchaus praktisch ist.
