Der Leipziger grüne Ring im Westen der Stadt um den Kulkwitzer See führt abwechslunsgreich entlang des Luppedamms, durch den Auenwald sowie über Felder und kleine Dörfer. Bademöglichkeite gibt es am Kulkwitzer See, einem in den 60er Jahren rekultivierten Tagebau.
