Die landschaftlich sehr abwechslungsreiche Rundtour im Naturpark Frankenwald verläuft teils auf Feld- und Waldwegen, teils auch auf Straßen. Es sind einige längere Anstiege zu überwinden nach Nordhalben und durch die Langenau nach Geroldsgrün, aber dafür geht es auch immer wieder abwärts; zahlreiche Einkehrmöglichkeiten z. B. zur Brotzeit in Mauthaus bieten sich an.
