Ausgangspunkt ist der Brückenkopf Theodor-Heuss-Brücke in Mainz
Sehr abwechslungsreiche Tour zunächst autofrei quer durch Mainz, dann langsam und bequem aufsteigend in das Obstbaumgebiet Finthen. Bitte daran denken, dass es den "Mundraub" im bürgerlichen Gesetzbuch nicht mehr gibt!
Schließlich rasante Abfahrt an der Sandmühle vorbei durch Heidenheim zum Ortsteil Heidenfahrt, direkt am Rhein gelegen (gutes Gasthaus mit großem Garten).
Weiter geht es am Rhein entlang zunächst durch die Auen über Budenheim (zwischen Fabrik und Rhein) wieder zur Theodor-Heuss-Brücke. Die letzten 4 km sind zwar entlang eine vielbefahrenen Autostraße, aber durchgängig autofrei zu befahren.
