Vom Bahnhof Sargans startet der Track beim Busbahnhof. Der Aufstieg geht am Schloss Sargans vorbei auf den Rheintaler Höhenweg. Eine lohnende Wanderung im Frühling, wenn in den höheren Berglagen noch der Schnee liegt. An einigen Stellen im steilen Gelände sind Drahtseile gespannt. Der Weg ist aber unkritisch.
