Bis zur tschechischen Grenze ein erstklassiger Radweg, danach durchwachsen bis miserabel. GPS auf jeden Fall ratsam, da auf tschechischer Seite die Wegweiser großenteils fehlen und die "Radwege" als solche mit bloßem Auge auch oft nicht zu erkennen sind (Bilder 3 u. 4).
Ansonsten reiht sich auf der Strecke ein kulturhistorisches und landschaftliches highlight an das nächste: Magdeburg-Dessau-Wörlitz-Wittenberg-Torgau-Meißen-Dresden-Pillnitz-Pirna-Elbsandsteingebirge-Festung Königsstein-Bad Schandau-Decin-Litomerice-Theresienstadt-Roudnice-Melnik-Prag.
Für Prag sollte man sich mindestens 4-5 Tage Zeit nehmen. Wir sind dann von Prag aus mit dem durchgehenden Nachtzug (ab19.00 Uhr) sehr komfortabel nach Kassel zurückgefahren.
