Vom Parkplatz an der Wochenbrunner Alm gehts zunächst auf einer Forststraße Richtung Gaudiamus Hütte. Kurz vor der Hütte zweigt ein Fußweg Richtung Goinger Halt links ab. Nach ein paar hundert Höhenmeter kommen dann ein paar sehr einfache "Kraxlpassagen". Bis zum Elmauer Tor ist der Weg auch für wenig geübte Bergsteiger begehbar. Vom Elmauer Tor bis zum Gipfel gibt es wieder ein paar einfache Kletterpassagen. Ein Klettersteig Set ist aber nicht erforderlich.

Autobahn Ausfahrt Kufstein Süd Richtung Scheffau. An Scheffau vorbei (Skilifte) und nach ca. 4 km in Elmau rechts Richtung Wochenbrunner Alm abbiegen, dann unter der Hauptstraße durch bis zum Gasthaus Wochenbrunn (Mautstelle 4 Euro, Preis 2010). Auf der Straße weiterfahren bis zur Wochenbrunnger Alm (großer Parkplatz).
