Die Tour eignet sich auch als Familienausflug für bereits konditionell gut trainierte Kids oder halt als kleiner Ausflug mit ein paar Höhenmeter, ohne jemals hoch hinaus zu kommen.
Los geht's südlich von Regensburg in der Ortschaft Grass. Von dort geht's direkt über Feld- und Waldwege in wenig bewaldetes Gebiet zwischen dem südlcihen Regensburg, östlich von Bad Abbach bis kurz vor Obertraubling. Die Wege sind grösstenteils wenig anspruchsvoll.
An Wochenendtagen trifft man ggf. bei Piesenkofen auf ein paar Hobby-Flieger mit Motor- oder Segelfliegern. Aussderem durchquert man militärisches Gebiet - aber keine Angst..! ;-)
