Diese Tour führt uns auf die beiden Gipfel Hohe Loog (620 M. ü. NHN.) und Kalmit (672,6 M. ü. NHN.). Mit dem Erreichen der Kalmit haben wir den höchsten Gipfel im Pfälzerwald erreicht.

Ein weiteres und gleichzeitig das erste Highlight der Tour ist das Sühnekreuz Rittersberg, ein beliebter Aussichtspunkt zwischen Hambacher Schloss und Hohe Loog. Es liegt nicht direkt auf
dem Weg, man muss dafür einen „Umweg“ von etwa zweihundert Metern in Kauf nehmen.
Wahlweise zu Beginn oder am Ende der Tour lohnt ein Abstecher zum Hambacher Schloss.
