Startpunkt ist der kleine Yachthafen zum “Alten Schleusenhäuschen” etwa 2 km oberhalb der Schleuse Lahnstein, direkt am Radweg gelegen. Von hier gehen wir flussabwärts etwa 200 m, überqueren die Bundesstraße und folgen dieser rechts nochmals flussaufwärts etwa 500 m. Dann biegen wir links ab und gehen durch das Eingangsportal in die Ruppertsklamm. Wir folgen dem Wanderweg mit dem Buchstaben C durch die Klamm bis zur Schutzhütte am Ende der Ruppertsklamm. Dort können wir rasten, grillen und uns erholen. Anschließend folgen wir dem Wanderweg C wieder zurück den Berg hinunter bis an unserem Ausgangspunkt und kehren im “Kleinen Schleusenhäuschen” zu einer kleinen aber ausgiebigen Mahlzeit ein.
