Gestartet bin ich in St.-Jean-de-Minervoi, einem gan kleinen abgelegen Örtchen. Auf kleinen Nebenstraßen führt die Tour entlang dem Canyon de la Cesse vorbei an Minerve zum Col de Serrieres und dann über Rieussec zurück nach St.-Jean-de-Minervois. Auf den 70 km sind mir gefühlte 10 Autos, 3 Motorräder und 3 Fahrräder begegnet - also eine sehr einsame Strecke, die lanschaftlich sagenhaft ist.

A perfect day and a perfect tour

33°C, wolkenlos, kaum Wind - bin eben von dieser Tour zurückgekommen - und muss zugeben: eine meiner schönsten Touren! Und ich Kenne die Gegend wirklich gut. Neben der fantastischen Landschaft und der überwältigenden Einsamkeit liegen noch etliche Sehenswürdigkeiten (zB La Curiosité de Lauriole) an der Strecke - auf jeden Fall nach Minerve abbiegen.
