Die Tour führt vom Hauptbahnhof Mönchengladbach durch den Volksgarten an die Niers. Wir folgen der Niers bis kurz nach Wachtendonk. Von dort folgen wir der Niederrheinroute bis Walbeck. Nach einer Übernachtung im Posthotel Walbeck geht es weiter über Kevelaer zurück zur Niers. Kurz vor Goch verlassen wir den idyllischen Fluss um über den Hochwald und Xanten unser Ziel in Wesel zu erreichen.
