Die Strecke verläuft auf den Flussradwegen von Vils, Naab, Donau, Inn und Etsch. Die Radwege sind überwiegend in einem guten Zustand (August 2011). Qualitativ schlechtester Streckenabschnitt (grobschottrig) ist am Inn zwischen Passau und Marktl.
Die Beschilderung ist überwiegend sehr gut. Die Strecke bis Passau war sehr belebt. Am Inn entlang bis Imst war es ruhig. Ab Imst fährt man auf der Via Claudia Augusta (VCA) und somit war wieder mehr los.
Die VCA wird in Italien immer besser ausgebaut. Z.B. neuer Radweg über Rivoli Veronese nach Bussolengo - früher musste man auf die viel befahrene Strecke Affi-Verona
