Die Langlaufloipe ist sowohl für Klassich als auch für Skating gespurt. Der Weg vom Start weg durch den Wald ist jedoch zum skaten sehr schmal. Die Tour selber besticht durch ihren grandiosen Ausblick in Oberstein. Gutes Wetter vorausgesetzt. Wenn die meisten Loipen um Scheidegg nicht gespurt sind ist die Oberstein-Loipe durch ihre höhere Lage oft noch befahrbar.
