Day 3 of the Grischa Trail Ride. Last day of the event, and it was set to be a long one. A few options across the mountains, all needed about 2 hours of hike-a-bike. One option around the mountains on what turned out to be a very cool XC type trail.
Ended up punishing ourselves with a 1 hour / 300hm penalty for stupidity (wrong turn up a steep and long trail), but still had a blast and ended up 4th on the day. This turned out to be a smoker of a day, with us stacking up 64.5km, almost 2,100hm uphill (+ an additional 250hm in a bergbahn) and 2,200 downhill in 5.5 hours.
Overall, had we not screwed up on Day 1, we'd have been 3rd overall. What maters most was that this was a BLAST of a weekend. Very well organized event, lots of fun people, and incredible trails. Highly recommended as a self-guided tour or as part of the event next year to anyone who likes Enduro/Freeride but isn't affraid of a fair bit of uphill, or to any agressive XC rider who likes enduro-type trails.
