Es handelt sich um die Tour 4 - Rund um Beyenburg und zur Herbringhauser Talsperre - aus Dumont "Wandern im Bergischen Land".
Leider sind im Verlauf des Jakobsweges die blauen Wegezeichen mit der Jakobsmuschel - vermutlich von "Souvenirsammlern" - weitgehend entfernt worden.(Stand April 2012)
Hinter der Herbringhauser Talsperre und der Querung der Straße nach Herbringhausen, aber noch vor dem Abzweig Ziffer 8 gibt es eine Gabelung, an der das Wegezeichen "A4" nicht mehr erkennbar ist. Man bleibt auf gleichem Niveau auf der rechten Seite und geht nicht nach links in den Parallelweg weiter ins Bachtal hinab.
