Vom Campingplatz in die Stadt. Im Touristenbüro erhält man eine Karte mit Vorschlägen für Radtouren und Wanderungen.
Die Fahrt von Quillan bis Espéraza führt auf einer ruhigen Seitenstraße am Ufer des Flusses Aude entlang.
Nach einem kurzen Stück auf der D118 geht es bergauf bis Rennes le Château mit weitem Rundumblick bis zu den schneebedeckten Gipfeln der Pyrenäen. Das Dorf wurde bekannt durch die Bestseller "Der Heilige Gral und seine Erben" sowie "Sakrileg" u.a.
Auf der asphaltierten Straße gelangt man hinunter nach Couiza. Von dort führt die Route wieder am Aude entlang nach Quillan.
