Ausgangspunkt ist der Vordere Gosausee. Rechts auf den Wanderweg relativ steil durch den Wald über die Krautgartenhütte zur Gablonzerhütte auf der Zwieselalm.( ca.1,5h) Dann links auf einigen Stufen über den Törleck Sattel zum Einstieg auf den Donnerkogel. Jetzt ein etwas ausgesetzter Steig durch Latschen und Schotterpassagen zum Gipfel. (ca. 1,5h) Vom Ausgangspunkt bis zum Gipfel eine sehr schöne Bergtour mit Einkehrmöglichkeit auf der Zwieselalm.
