Vom Bahnhof Johanngeorgenstadt geht es auf wechselnden Belägen aufwärts über die Grenze. Danach hauptsächlich abwärts auf Nebenstraßen durch kleinere Orte (Neudeck, Neu Rohlau) bis nach Karlsbad.
Die Rückfahrt kann man mit den Zug antreten (vom unteren Bahnhof).
