Die Wanderung beginnt am Stauwehr des Königssees. Dort der Beschilderung Grünsteinhütte folgen. Nach steilem Aufstieg, vorbei am Grünsteinklettersteig, gelangt man zur Grünsteinhütte. Von dort führt ein Höhenweg zur Kühroint-Hütte unterhalb des Watzmannmassivs. Von der Kühroint-Hütte ist in 15 min die Archenkanzel, ein 1346 m hoch gelegener Aussichtspunkt zu erreichen. Von hier hat man einen gigantischen Ausblick über den Königssee und Sankt Bartolomä. Der Rückweg zum Königssee geht an der Bob- und Rodelbahn vorbei zurück zum Ausgangspunkt.
Schöne Wanderung mit tollen Ausblicken über den Königssee, zum Einstimmen auf eventuell folgende Bergtouren.
