Diese mittelschwere bis schwere Wanderung beginnt am Bahnhof in Cochem. Nach ca. 900 Metern erreicht man die ersten Wegezeichen, 5 gelbe Striche auf weißem Grund, denen man jetzt folgen kann. Der Einstieg in den Wanderweg befindet sich direkt an der Sesselbahn, die man ebenfalls zum Aufstieg nutzen kann.
Das Ende der Wanderung ist am Bahnhof in Treis – Karden erreicht.
