Die Tour war ein klassischer Alpencross auf einfacher Route von Höchberg, Nähe Würzburg bis Kaltern in Südtirol.
Wir sind mit Trekkingrad bzw. MTB mit Packtaschen und 1,75 Bereifung gefahren.
Die Strecke ist wegen des hohen Anteils ( ca. 50-60km ) an unbefestigten Wegen, gerade im Bereich des Fernpasses für Rennräder oder schmalere Bereifung ungeeignet.
Die Route verläuft in Deutschland bis Donauwörth auf der "romantischen Strasse" und ab hier folgt sie dem Radweg "Via Claudia Augusta".
